Having a heart of Expectation Releases Awakening

By Greg Crawford Apostle

Today as I came into the office the Lord spoke to me and brought to remembrance a visitation that I had with him within the last year. The Lord spoke to me a great mystery concerning expectation. It forever has changed my concepts of faith and approach towards God. The Holy Spirit has quickened to me to share this with you in this weeks teaching. I trust it will be a great blessing for you.

Psalm 62:5-7

5 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. 6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved . 7 In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God .

Many of us have seen this Psalm before. We read it as if our expectation is towards God, when in reality it's says our expectation is from him. The word expectation means hope, ground of hope, things hoped for, or outcome. David spoke this decree based on the foundation of his faith. He declares who God has been in his life. We see later on that Solomon David son, also talks of expectation in Proverbs.

Proverbs 24:13-14

13 My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste : 14 So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it , then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off .

Solomon declares that when wisdom becomes a part of our soul there shall be a reward, and that reward is our expectation will not be cut off.

In this visitation God woke me up at 3:30 AM . He had been preaching to me while I slept and then gave me these points to share with others. He also gave me the Scriptures to go with each section.

Expectation releases the supernatural deposit within us. It comes from within the vessel be it a vessel that is unsaved or saved Acts 1:1-7--- 2:1.

The Lord showed me that saved or unsaved, that he had deposited expectation within every vessel. That we did not have the ability or the expectation within ourselves to seek him or hunger after him before we knew him. That this expectation deposit was what enabled us to experience salvation. This expectation enabled us to understand our need for God. He had put that expectation within every man woman and child to know God. Like David every person has a hope within them. Even the vilest person has this deposit of hope or expectation abiding within. God showed me that no matter what a person says, excuses they make, or actions they display, deep within, is his expectation for himself that he deposited. The Lord showed me this is a key to unlocking any person's heart.

Fresh expectation always will produce the suddenlies in our lives. Mal 3:1, Acts 2

Lord showed me that every suddenly in our lives did not just occur but was the result of the release of expectation within us. He showed me that expectation also had creative ability within it that released the suddenlies that we see in Scripture. He showed me that as we walk in life, we always have an expectation of the day. That expectation is releasing things around us and putting them in motion towards us. But he showed me that a fresh expectation is what releases the suddenly. Fresh expectation is a collision of our faith with Gods hope.

Expectation sometimes comes for a service as people begin to gather, that is why messages sometimes do not come until the last moment. Acts 3:5

Lord showed me that many times messages must change at the last moment before presented. Is due entirely to People's expectation that they release. He showed me that leaders must be willing to change their message at any given moment because people's expectations are shifting. He showed me that when everyone's expectation becomes the same that is when His glory can invade. This synergy is when everyone's faith and hope collide, allowing God to descend in a certain way to meet with everyone as if they were one person, body, or voice.

When expectation shifts from an event to a daily lifestyle then revival has come to the people of God. Some can be in revival while others are not. Acts 3:5

The Lord further expanded this by this statement. He showed me that revival, awakening, or reformation is depended upon a daily expectation more than a weekly event. The reason we are not seeing the results that we are looking for in the church is because most of the church only has an expectation for a single service each week. Revival, awakening, or reformation all has the makeup of daily expectation. The Lord showed me Paul's daily expectation and how is he walked in it. The release of daily faith causes the revival awakening and reformation of the early church to occur daily not weekly.

Awakening is the when the expectation of the church exceeds the unbelief of the community. Acts 12

The Lord showed me a community that has been completely changed because of the church. He made the statement above and spoke to me that the churches expectation has to exceed the unbelief of the community. He showed me that when we realize the expectation is not from us but from him, he would change our perspective of what we would believe could really happen within a community. The awakening in a community is not about unbelievers getting saved at the church, but the church coming into her realization of who God really is. He showed me how Peter was put in jail but that the churches expectation of God was greater than what held him. Even then unbelief was even rampant in the church. He showed me expectation of the few gathered to pray exceeded the unbelief of the many. He told me not to worry about the numbers. But to make sure that the few were in unity and had the same expectation.

Expectation is hope. Faith is putting expectation in fullness. This is why expectation releases revival. The churches hope in God and his ability to perform his covenant exceeds the worlds state of hopelessness. Heb 11:1

The Lord showed me that expectation carries the same dynamic and power as faith. He showed me that when we activate our faith we are actually putting in motion the expectation that he already has ownership of within our heart. This great hope exceeds the hopelessness of the world. Hopelessness carries a certain degree of power but expectation released is as if the power is doubled because faith is involved. He showed me that expectation is based upon our understanding that we know he is about to perform his covenant. The Lord showed me that many understand the covenant but many do not understand how the covenant goes into action. He spoke to me that it is about faith and expectations are the keys that unlocks covenant.

Moses is listed in Heb 11:1 there has not been a greater prophet not because of what he voiced but because of how he used his relationship with God to release his expectation. His singular expectation was greater than all Israel unbelief and Egypt's Gods. Heb 11.1

The Lord then spoke to me that it is not about the great speakers we see, or the ability to speak eloquently, but it is about our relationship with him. The Lord showed me that expectation is based upon relationship. When our relationship deepens so does our expectation. If our expectation is lacking it is because we're lacking relationship. The relationship we build with God adds to the seed of expectation he already planted within us before we were born. He showed me that because of the relationship Moses had, the expectation within his heart was greater than all the unbelief that Egypt and Israel both carried. He showed me that every action that Moses did by faith was already settled in his heart and carried expectation with it. When Moses moved in faith it release the expectation of God.

8. This year is the year of blood and Fire. Joel 2:30-32

The Lord spoke and said this is the year of blood and fire. Blood being the expectation in a finished work of God at the cross in the blood of Christ sealing the covenant of full promise. He also said it was the year fire. Fire being the expectation of the Holy Spirit using us as a demonstration up that full covenant.

At this point I was overwhelmed by what the Lord had showed me that I knew that there was more I asked the Lord to show me deeper mysteries than these things and he began to show me even more.

Psalm 62:5-7

5 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. 6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved . 7 In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God .

At this point I was overwhelmed by what the Lord had showed me that I knew that there was more I asked the Lord to show me deeper mysteries than these things and he began to show me even more. As the visitation deepened at my request, the Lord spoke and gave a command afterward that sealed his words. The commands were non-negotiable and what he was requiring of me. The final word on these deeper mystery's held great authority and deep spiritual revelation!

Show me deeper Mystery's I asked….

Expectation is your spiritual influence. It is the how you open the spiritual doorways of heaven and into the spirit realm. Faith is what keeps the spiritual door open until complete promises are fulfilled. The Apostles turned the world upside down because expectation and faith collided. Acts 17:16

The Lord spoke to me that the 12 influenced multitudes because of 2 things expectation and faith. He showed me specifically that expectation opens the doorways and pathways to heaven and Faith keeps the door open until the full manifestation is seen. He showed me that many have faith but little to no expectation. They can keep the doorway open but others who have expectation need to open the doorway for them. He is wanting us to both open and stand in the gap until manifestation occurs. He then showed me the 120 in the upper room and the expectation they had opened the door and carried the doorway of heaven into the streets to influence thousands.

Always remember the expectation of the few can far exceed the unbelief of many

The Holy Spirit is the power released through expectation. He works based on expectation. Even to be convicted of sin requires an expectation and someone holding the door of faith open to receive forgiveness. An unbeliever can do this or a believer standing in the gap. Reprove the world of sin because of righteousness. John 16:7- 16

The Lord spoke to me of the authority position he had given us and how to release it to allow the conviction of the Holy Spirit to come upon others. He showed me how the Holy Spirit is waiting and even brooding like Gen 1 until someone voice s their expectation and then He could create something. Even the conviction of Sin is creative. The expectation of the righteous that sinners will turn is need to allow the Holy Spirit to do His deepest work in the future to us and others.

Expectation is seeing the Holy Spirit released to start the purpose of God through us.

Your expectation will increase as you increase your relationship with the Holy Spirit. If your relationship wanes then the expectation wanes and faith will not work because faith always requires a door of promise to be opened. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you all things Jesus spoke. John 14:23-26

The Holy Spirit is the one who connects expectation and faith into actions. If we knew the Holy Spirit better our expectation of God would be changed drastically. When we live in the presence of the Holy Spirit, or when we allow His presence to live within our lives we would know the heart of God concerning His actions He would accomplish towards us.

Expectation is the key to releasing the Holy Spirit we must know his ways and understand how to live in His presence

Expectation always requires the correct spiritual posture and pure desire. Ezekiel 1

The Lord began speak to me of the posturing of our hearts and not a physical posturing. He was speaking about the time spent and the attitude we care through he day. The awareness of Him can be with us throughout the day and not an event of the day. This was the posturing he was asking for.

You must learn to live in His presence like the 4 living creatures of Ezekiel live in His presence. Use expectation to get into his presence to then live in his presence, for in His presence you are controlled by his spirit.

13. The expectation that all seek is spiritual rest. You will know that you have expectation when you have that spiritual rest.

Mal 3:1-3 1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts . 2 But who may abide the day of his coming ? and who shall stand when he appeareth ? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers ' soap : 3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness .

The Lord ended with this scripture and spoke to me about the refining process of His spirit comes from the expectation and faith we carry. Not only does the expectation release His creativity but also release His process. He then said Refiners fire – cleans inside, fullers soap -cleans outside. He was doing a two fold process. That expectation and faith was not about results but about cleansing. Without these cleansing we would not be able to stand before Him with hearts having His expectation. He showed me David had to come to this point of cleansing. This cleansing would release the expectation of Righteousness. This release was the salvation of the unsaved. It was not a memorized speech to bring salvation but righteousness released through expectation would cause salvation. This would cause us to cease from our own efforts and embrace His process. This He said was true rest!

Refining is complete when reflection is seen

This was the end of the visitation. I trust this teaching has been a blessing to you.
